SWIMMING
RECORDS LOWERED. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, December 17. At a swimming carnival held to-night by the Canterbury Centre, the 880yds New Zealand record was lowered by 16 3-ssec by D. P. Lindsay who covered the distance in llmin ssec. D. H. Symes put up a Canterbury record for 50 yards of 26sec.
