HELD OVER WOOL
UNFAIR PROPAGANDA ALLEGED. (Per United Press Association.) Mastorton, December 16. Strong protests against what some of them described as unfair propaganda intended to depress the value of held over wool were made by members, of the Wairarapa Farmers’ Union at a meeting to-day. The following resolution was passed: That as there is unreasonable disparity between the prices of old and new seasons wool, the Dominion Executive be asked to make the fullest inquiry and investigate into the problem of held over wool.
The union discussed interest rates at length and decided to recommend that the Dominion Executive co-operate with the Associated Chambers of Commerce in urging the Government to set up a non-poli-tical commission to investigate national economy and interest rates. Another resolution urged that mortgagors should have the right of appeal to the court for relief without waiting to be taken there by the .mortgagees.
