MAGISTRATE’S COURT
SITTING AT GORE. At a sitting of the Gore Magistrate's Court yesterday afternoon before Mr H. J. Dixon, S.M., judgment by default was given for plaintiffs in the following undefended civil claims: Dominion Electrical Engineering Co. Ltd v. Robert Adcock (Nightcaps) for £4O, with costs £4 1/6; W. T. Trusler v. H. J. Horrell (Waipounamu) for £6 5/6, with costs £1 12/6; M. Murdock v. T. Watson (Gore) for £l7, with costs £2 15/-; M. Murdock v. B. Hensley (McNab) for £6 2/6, with costs £2 16/-; Petersons v. C. W. Marshall (Balfour) for £2 3/3 with costs £1 3/6; Fords (Gore) Ltd v. E. Little for £3 19/6, with costs £1 3/6; Mac Gibbon and Co. Ltd v. W. Isitt (Gore) for £8 6/6, with costs £1 10/6: Macpherson’s Ltd v. J. W. Pollock (Waipounamu) for £7 3/6, with costs £1 12/6. Judgment Summons.
In a judgment summons case N.Z. Express Co. v. H. J. Eady, the judgment debtor was ordered to pay the amount due forthwith in a default three days’ imprisonment at Invercargill, the warrant to be suspended if he paid 10/- per month. J. Hoffman and Son proceeded on a judgment summons claim for £3 16/6 against A. J. Beer. The defendant was ordered to pay the amount due forthwith, in default four days’ imprisonment at Invercargill. In a judgment summons claim Martin and Spiers v. J. R. Hicks, the judgment debtor was ordered to pay the amount due, £1 16/-, forthwith, in default 3 days’ imprisonment. The warrant to be suspended if he paid 2/6 per week.
