RAILWAY SERVICE
APPOINTMENTS ANNOUNCED. MR LINDSAY LOCAL TRAFFIC MANAGER. (Per United Press Association.) Wellington, December 12. The General Manager of Railways, Mr G. P. Roussell, announces that the Government Railways Board has made the following service appointments: — J. C. Schneider, acting-District Traffic Manager at Wellington, to be Traffic Superintendent, the title of Traffic Superintendent replacing that of General Superintendent of Transportation. A. Urquhart, Staff Assistant at head office, to be Staff Superitendent at head office. F. W. Aicken, Assistant Law Officer, head office, to be Law Officer. G. T. Wilson, acting-District Traffic Manager at Wanganui, to be District Manager at Auckland.
W. Schierning, acting-Goods Agent at Wellington, to be District Traffice Manager at Wellington. E. S. Brittenden, acting-District Traffic Manager at Christchurch, to be District Traffic Manager at Christchurch. H. L. Gibson, acting-District Traffic Manager at Dunedin, to be District Traffic aMnager at Dunedin. IL C. Couch, acting-District Traffic Manager at Auckland, to be District Traffic Manager at Wanganui. W. P. Miller, acting-Bus Manager at Wellington, to be District Traffic Manager at Ohakune. J. A. Lindsay, acting-District Traffic Manger at Invercargill, to be District Traffic Manager at Invercargill.
