TERRORIST MOVEMENT.
GOVERNMENT ACTION

The Viceroy in a speech at Calcutta declared that the Government was determined to adopt every means to crush the terrorist movement. The Government had already taken preliminary measures to cope with the congress “no rent campaign” in the united provinces and had forbidden the congress leaders to address peasants meetings. The police raided the congress offices at Cawnpore and arrested a prominent official.
