DRAPER SENT TO GAOL, (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, November 24. William Biddolph Blackwood, aged 87, described as a draper, was sentenced to a year’s imprisonment by the Magistrate, Mr Mosley, for obtaining £lO by fraud and also a steamer ticket valued at £4l from Kate Bates by falsely representing that he was a brother of the Marquis of Dufferin and had an interest in a big estate.
