TWO WOMEN INJURED. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, November 24. Mrs A. H. Soal, of Cox street, Ashburton, was seriously injured and her mother, Mrs A. E. Rogers, of Halsweil, received concussion through their car colliding with a bus on the road to Akaroa this morning. Both were admitted to hospital. PLUCKY GIRLS. Dunedin, November 24. At the inquest on Thomas Lyons, of Greenfield, who was fatally gored by’ a bull on Saturday, the Coroner referred to the courageous action of deceased’s young daughters in going to their father's assistance. One hit the bull over the head with a stick while the other held the animal’s head. The jury recommended that the girls should be awarded the Royal Humane Society’s medal.
