INDIA CONFERENCE

SUBJECT FOR COMMONS DEBATE. (British Official Wireless.) (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, November 23. The Prime Minister, Mr MacDonald, stated in Parliament that he hoped before the House of Commons rose for the recess there would be an opportunity for a debate on the work of the India Round-Table Conference. Earlier in the day the Prime Minister met Ministerial colleagues who are delegates to the conference and afterwards had a series of interviews with the leaders of the various sections of the Indian delegates. Lord Sankey and Sir Samuel Hoare were also present. During the day the Aga Khan, head of the Moslem delegation, Ujjal Singh, the principal Sikh delegate, Sir Tej Sapru. moderate Hindu leader, Dr. Ambedkar, leader of the depressed classes, and Sir Annepu Patro, Hindu Liberal leader, were received.

To-night the Prime Minister is the guest of Sir Akbar Hydari at a dinner, and tomorrow he will meet Gandhi.
