SHOPS BROKEN INTO

-SUSPECT ARRESTED. (Per United Press Association.) Eltham, January 7. Three Eltham .shops were broken into early this morning and, within half an hour of the commission of the offence, the arrest of a suspect, a middle-aged man, a stranger named Peter Tait Aitken McClusky, was made by the local police. The premises entered were Ward’s drapers, Morton’s drapers, and Mann, wine and spirit merchant. The sum of 24/- was taken from Ward’s and several bottles of liquor from Mann’s.
