REVENUE FOR NOVEMBER. REPORT OF SECRETARY. To the meeting of the Bluff Harbour Board yesterday the secretary (Mr 11. C. Gimblett) presented a report dealing with finance and trade for the month of November. The report stated:— The total revenue derived from all sources was £2552 11/3 as against £2553 4/6 for the month of November 1928, being a decrease of 13/3d. The principal items for the purpose of comparison are:

The excess of expenditure over receipts for the months of October and November is £586 2/9. The trade of the port shows an improvement for the month more especially in the amount of coastal cargo. The total tonnage of all goods passing over the board's wharves was:— Coastal Overseas Total. Tons Tons Tons Imports .. .. 3377 4516 7893 Exports .... 1490 200 S 3498 4867 6524 11,391 The principal items of imports were (all tons) : Coal 414, fruit preserved 101, manures artificial 946, motor spirit 1646, sugar 372, timber (hardwoods) 308, miscellaneous lines 4106. Total, 7893. Exports were (all tons) : Chaff 151, cheese 896, hemp 163, meat frozen and preserved 377; milk products 220, oats and oat products 475, tallow 124, timber 424, sundries 668. Total, 3498.
