PLEA FOR RELEASE. MEETING AT ELTHAM. (Per United Press Association.) Eltham, December 9. A meeting of over 50 residents was held last night, the Mayor (Mr Bridger) presiding. _ , The following mol ion was passed: This meeting, in the interests of suffering humanity and the sanctity of human life, asks that Salaman he immediately released. The motion was carried unanimously and is to be forwarded to the Minister of Justice (the Hon. J. G. Cobbe). BECEIVING ATTENTION TO GO BEFORE CABINET. Wellington, December 8. The Minister of Justice (the Hon. J. G. Cobbe) stated to-day that the case of Salaman was receiving his attention. The matter would later go before Cabinet for final decision.
