NEW OIL ENGINE
NEW ZEALANDER’S DESIGN. GREAT INTEREST IN ENGLAND. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) London, December 8. British experts are giving close attention to a heavy oil engine of a. revolutionary design, the idea of which was originated by a New Zealand engineer. The design was completed by Joseph Maine, the designer of Malcolm Campbell’s Bluebird racing car. Watson Arthur, also a New Zealander, has returned to place before a New Zealantl syndicate final plans for its production in England. The Morning Post's expert lengthily reviews the design, adding that if it reaches expectations practically all motor users will be paying royalties to New Zealand engineers. It is so nearly standard in design that ordinary internal combustion engines may be easily convertible.
