WAIRIO NOTES
(From Our Correspondent.) The final of the series of euchre and cribbage socials in aid of the funds of the Cribbage Club was held on Saturday evening, when there was a large attendance: The winners for the evening were: Euchre, Miss Steans and Mr R. White; cribbage, Mrs Steans and Mr R. Kirkpatrick. The aggregate prize-winners were: Euchre, Miss Steans 'and Mr Fielding; cribbage, Mrs Everett and Miss Sherman (equal) and Mr R. Kirkpatrick. Mr J. J. Finn, president of the Cribbage Club, in presenting the prizes, thanked the people for the support they had accorded the-club. Mr C. Rollo, of Timaru, who has been appointed stationmaster, commenced his duties on Monday. Mr J. Orr, of Invercargill, who has been relieving stationmaster, returned to town on Tuesday. Miss Ella Marshall is visiting friends in the district. Mr and Mrs A. Cairns, who have been on annual leave in the north, have returned. Mr T. Sheedy, Oamaru, is visiting his sister, Mrs J. J. Finn,
