GENERAL’S GRANDCHILD JOINS UP. (United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) London, December 7. The Salvation Army’s youngest recruit, Marion Ruth, who is three months old and the eleventh grandchild of General Higgins, joined up to the accompaniment of hymns and prayers at the Wimbledon Citadel. She played cheerfully with her grandfather’s epaulets as he asked the congregation to keep her from intoxicants, tobacco, finery, wealth, hurtful reading and worldly acquaintances. i During the closing prayers ehe burst into tears and was handed over to her mother.
