UNDER SNOW
WHEAT IN CANADA. (United Press" Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 7.0 p.m.) Ottawa, October 20. One-third of the wheat crop in the province of Saskatchewan is under snow and unthreshed. Similar conditions prevail in the province of Alberta. It is stated by Mr George Williams, president of the Saskatchewan section of the United Farmers of Canada, that a general conference of agriculturalists of Western Canada will be held to discuss the situation and provide means for its amelioration.
