WEST TO EAST
MRS MILLER’S RETURN FLIGHT.
(United Press Assn.—By Telegraph—Copyright.) (Rec. 7.0 p.m.) New York, October 19. News from Minslow (Arizona) states that Mrs Keith Miller completed the first leg of a west to east transcontinental flight from Los Angeles on Sunday. In landing she broke a wheel and damaged the tail skid of the plane.
Mrs Miller is making a three-hop return trip to New York in an attempt to beat the new record established last week by Miss Laura Ingalls, who is the first woman to make an eastward transcontinental flight.
