CAR DAMAGED BY FIRE

PASSENGERS UNINJURED.

Palmerston North, October 20.

A large service car which was having its petrol tank filled caught fire at a garage in the main street at 9 o’clock last night. Extensive damage was done to the vehicle before the blaze, was extinguished. The car which was owned by L. Harris, of Dannevirke, and, driven by M. Foreman, had several passengers who escaped without injury.
