CHARGED WITH THEFT
CLERK ARRESTED ON BOAT.

Auckland, October 18.
Arrested on the Sydney boat yesterday, Vincent Cranfeld Butcher, a clerk, aged 28 years, appeared before Mr Hunt, S.M., in the Police Court this morning charged with stealing £ll3 16/5, the property of the New Zealand Government at Wellington on October 15. The accused was remanded to appear in Wellington on October 21.
