ASIATIC TRADERS
REGISTRATION SOUGHT.

Christchurch, October 20
At a meeting jf the New Zealand Fruit and Produce Federation, complaint was made of Asiatics changing their names and trading in different towns under assumed names.
It was decided to approach the Government with a request that, all Asiatics resident in New Zealand be registered and that it be a penal offence for them to change their names. Chambers of Commerce throughout New Zealand are to be asked to give their support to the proposal.
