CHILD’S LIFE SAVED
RESUSCITATION WORK SUCCESSFUL. (Per United Press Association.) Auckland, September 2. After being at least seven minutes under water, a child named Marion Mitchell, aged 6 years, was rescued from under the wharf at Waiwera, and after 90 minutes’ work by two men, she was restored to consciousness. The child fell in when playing, and the men were summoned by another little girL They could see nothing till one detected a pink hat floating on the surface, and the child face down beneath it.
