POPPY DAY
RESULTS OF APPEAL. SALES IN TOWN AND COUNTRY. The majority of the town and country returns for the Poppy Day appeal have now been received by the Returned Soldiers’ Association. The secretary-organ-, izer of the association (Mr W. McGill) states that the appeal has received a fair measure of support and the total amount received will be increased later with late returns and donations, which have still to be canvassed. Many willing workers came forward to assist with the sales and in other ways, and the thanks of the association are due to these. The results of the appeal to date are as follows:— Street Sales.
