INDIAN ASSEMBLY
DEADLOCK CONTINUES. RAILWAY STRIKE BEGINS. Delhi, February 5. Despite the electrified atmosphere and much banging of tables, the Assembly scene ended with the resignation of neither the leader of the House nor the President of the Legislative Assembly. Die deadlock continues and the galleries have been closed. The long-expected strike on the Great Indian Peninsula Railway, where the union is much under Bolshevik control, began yesterday. The areas principally affected are Bombay and its suburbs, where the workshops are idle. Local and through services are being maintained with difficulty.
