VAGRANT VERSE
IMMINENCE. (Written for the Southland Times). Be still; O let the quietness improve the world and fill the dark. I stand and yet I move slowly in the night upon uneharted paths that slip, unknown to sight, away to space. I have no grip of solid things, but I can feel a presence near, the beat of wings.... a waning sigh...lt is not fear. -J-Shaun O'Sullivan. Invercargill, December 4, 1929. -
