AN ISOLATED CASE
THE LAWBEATH AGREEMENT. (Per United Press Association.) Dunedin, November 14. Regarding the agreement come to by the Disputes Committee at Wellington conceding the concessions asked for by the crew of the Lawbeath, the clause added that it was to be regarded as an isolated case. It is stated here that the wider issue involved, that all ships carrying phosphates from Nauru to New Zealand shall pay New Zealand rates of wages, has not been agreed to, and probably did not come within the scope of the committee.
