TOO LUCKY?

CARD-SHARPER CAUGHT.

SLEEVE PINNED BY STILETTO.

Bucharest, July 20.

An exciting drama occurred at a fashionable card club. A visitor believed to be a distinguished and wealthy Brazilian was playing with phenomenal luck when, suddenly, a spectator, a young Rumanian aristocrat, drew a stiletto and drove it through the player’s sleeve pinning his arm to the table.

During the ensuing uproar it was found that the stiletto pierced all of several cards hidden up his sleeve. The cheat who disappeared has since been identified as a Greek card-sharper.—Australian Press Association.
