GAME OF CHANCE
ITINERANT SHOWMAN FINED.

Waipukurau, June 6
Wilfred James Woods, a travelling showman, appeared before the Magistrate, Mr Mowlem, at Waipawa to day and was convicted and fined £5 for playing a game of chance with the aid of a table, cloth and darts in the main street at Tikokino on March 29 last. Senior-Sergeant Dempsey prosecuted, contending that the game waa one of chance, not skill.
