DEATHS ON RACECOURSE
TWO MEN EXPIRE. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, June 3. Two elderly men died suddenly- at the Addington racecourse during the progress of the trotting meeting to-day. In each case the men were standing in front of the totalisator, one on them, presumably to collect a dividend. Edward Dryden, 76 years of age, collapsed in a fit at 11.15 a.m. and died in a few minutes.
The second victim was an elderly man, Frederick Taigel, a pastrycook who died suddenly after the last race. He had been in failing health for some time.
