WINTER SHOW EXTENSIVE PREPARATIONS AT SMITH’S. FANCY FROCKS AND BARGAINS. Extensive preparations have been made by the Progressive Stores to entertain the hundreds of Winter Show visitors on Saturday. The whole staff will don their new fancy costumes and every department will offer wonderful special values for the occasion. The departmental displays are well worth seeing and the store will be illuminated at night. In addition to the items advertised on page 9 the Dress and Silk Departments offer the following special values for Saturday only—--1 bolt of 24-inch Black Jap. Silk suitable for ruffles, etc., usually 1/11 yard, now 9d yard; 3 bolts of Bottle Green pure wool Dress Flannel, 28 inches wide, usually 3/6 yard, now 1/6 yard. All silk 40-inch Georgettes in all the leading shades, usually 6/11 yard, now 4/11 yard; 3 bolts of Black double-width Radianta,' usually 4/11 yard, now 1/11 yard; 20 ends of Fancy Checked and Plain Dress Materials, all wool, sold Usually at 5/11 yard, now 2/11 yard.—H.
