BLAZE ON STEAMER
FIREMEN SUPPRESS OUTBREAK. (Rec. 11.5 p.m.) Sydney, May 10. At Newcastle a destructive fire occurred on boad the steamer Golden Eagle, which is hound for Honolulu, this afternoon. Firemen were hampered by dense smoke and fumes. The. veesel took a decided list before the fire was controlled. —Australian Press Association.
