WRONGFUL ARREST
ECHO OF DONNYBROOK AFFAIR.

The Police Department has agreed to pay the fare to New Zealand of Joseph Viscoe, a New Zealander, who was wrongfully arrested and detained as a result of the disappearance at Donnybrook of Leslie Williams, a motorist, who was thought to have been murdered, but who eventually turned up at his home in Sydney. Viscoe feels aggrieved and considers that he is entitled to at least £6OO compensation. —Australian Press Association.
