Kenneth Cain, aged 17, residing with hta parents at 59. Victoria street, Petone, was to-night struck by a railways motor bus on the esplanade at Petone and killed almost instantaneously.
WOMAN INJURED BY RANGE EXPLOSION.
Napier, April 17,
Mrs Joseph Sheehan was injured in the arm and leg by an explosion in the cooking range, the front of which was blown out. It is expected that there was dynamite in the coal.
SWAGGER’S BODY FOUND
Napier, April 17.
The bod.v of a man was found on a sheep station this morning. The man, apparently a swagger, had been dead for several months.
BODY FOUND IN HARBOUR
New Plymouth, April 16
The body of Frederick Golfing, aged 66, was found this morning in the harbour. He disappeared from the Newton King wharf about 1.30 a.m. on April 8.
DEATH FROM LOCKJAW.
Palmerston North, April 16.
The death of a five-year-old Otaki Maori boy occurred at. the hospital. The lad was admitted suffering from lockjaw, and it was considered necessary to inject an anti-tetanus serum, but the body was too rigid. An anaesthetic, was given under which the boy died.
MAN ACCIDENTALLY DROWNED. Wairoa, April 16.
The body of Harry Turetahi has been recovered and at the inquest this morning a verdict was returned of accidental drowning while crossing a river.
