WORK OF MOSLEMS

ERECTIONS ON WAILING WALL. QUESTION IN PARLIAMENT. Rugby, November 12. Mr L. C. Amery, Colonial Secretary, was questioned in Parliament regarding the erection by Moslems in Jerusalem of constructions on top of the Wailing Wall. He was asked if he would give instructions that these erections on this ancient wall should be forbidden.

Mr Amery replied that the matter was engaging his close consideration. He proposed to take the highest official advice open to him and within the next few days he would lay before the House a White Paper on the subject dealing fully with the intervention of the police, the position of the British Government in Palestine and the steps taken to prevent similar occurrences. —British Official Wireless.
