GORE OPERATIC SOCIETY

ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE. (From Our Correspondent.) The Gore Amateur Operatic Society gave its second performance of the operetta, “Pearl The Fishermaiden,” in the Princess Theatre on Saturday evening, and as on the opening night, the audience was a large and enthusiastic one. The operetta was excellently produced and the choruses, ballets, settings and the work of the individual members of the cast combined to make it popular with the audience. It is pleasing to know that as the result of its two night’s season the society will realize a satisfactory sum with which to purchase further necessary equipment and costumes. The support accorded the society should be also very encouraging to its members, while the very satisfactory standard attained at the initial performance will give rise to the hope that the public will be given many more opportunities of attending future productions by the society.
