KING OF ALBANIA
INTERVIEW IN LONDON. BALKAN LOCARNO URGED. (Rec. 7.4 p.m.) London, October 12. King Zog, of Albania, in an interview, stressed the need for Albania to avail herself of Italian assistance in the way of money and administrative officials. He did not believe Italy contemplated an open quarrel with Yugo-Slavia, nor did he think Serbia need fear a combined attack by Albania and Bulgaria if she were dragged into war with Italy. More than anything King Zog would like to see a Balkan Locarno in w’hich the States could settle their differences and be able to devote themselves to national development.—Australian Press Association.
