INSURANCE AGENT’S DEATH. (Per United Press Association.) Christchurch, October 9. A verdict of death from gunshot wounds self-inflicted while temporarily insane, was the verdict of the Coroner, Mr Young, S.M., at the adjourned inquest into the death of Adam Ernest Smith, an insurance inspector who w r as found dead on Monday with a discharged gun beside him. Dr Pearson gave evidence that he had examined the gun and body. The muzzle had been placed in the mouth and the wound must have been self-inflicted.
