THE PUKERAU FACTORY. REPORT FOR THE YEAR. The annual report of the Pukerau Dairy Factory Co., Ltd., for the year ended July 31, 1928, states: —Your directors have pleasure in presenting the 19th annual report and balance sheet for the year ended July 31, 1928, and this shows the past to have been a successful season. Payments from the New Zealand Dairy Produce Board on cheese shipped last season have been received and were disbursed to suppliers, bringing the pay-out on last season’s butter-fat to 1/4 per lb. During the season 174 tons 17cwt. of cheese was manufactured. One ton was sold to suppliers and the balance, with the exception of the December make, wase sold to Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., at 84 per lb, f.o.b. to the end of November and 8 5-8 d for the remainder. December’s cheese was consigned through the New Zealand Producers’ Marketing Association and Messrs Henderson and Co., and realized equal to 9d per lb, f.o.b. Payments for butter-fat were at the rate of 1/6J per lb. Under the calf scheme, 309 calves were put through, the price being 9/- each.
