YOUTH KILLED

RUN OVER BY LORRY. (Per United Press Association.) Napier, June 28. A youth named Grant Allison, aged 18, was killed- early this evening in Hastings in a collision between the bicycle he was riding and a motor lorry loaded with shingle driven by Samuel Howard. The lorry was over taking the cyclist when the driver’s vision was impaired by the lights of approaching cars and Howard did not see the cyclist until the moment of impact. The wheels of the lorry appear to have passed over AL lison’s body. This fatality makes the fifth serious motor accident in or near Hastings In the last twelve days and is the second fatal one.
