AVIATORS ENTERTAINED

FUNCTION AT SUVA.

(Rec. 7.5 p.m.) Suva, June 28. Captain Lyon, Mr J. Warner, Captain Lancaster and Mrs Miller passed through Suva by the Sonoma to-day. They were taken for a circular 25 mile motor drive by the Associated Press correspondent and entertained at a luncheon by citizens. The usual eulogistic speeches were made. En route from Sydney an unknown person stole from Captain Lyon’s cabin a blue suit, underwear and £18; also an Aero Club pen, but considerately left a gold watch and other trifles on the settee.

The airmen’s future plans appear to be uncertain. They hope to get film work at Hollywood, and also plan a flight from Croydon to New York if the backing is forthcoming.—Australian Press Association.
