A story of how a son defrauded his father of £3OO by posing as a wireless operator was told in the Police Court when Ralph Russell Lunn pleaded guilty to a charge ot receiving £65 from his father by means of a false pretence. The father stated that two years ago the accused said he was in a wireless school at Wellington, and had given him £lB. Altogether he had given him £3OO, as the accused said he had a position to go to and needed the money. The £65, which formed the basis of the charge, was used by the accused and a companion to go to Sydney for a trip. He was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
