BRITAIN’S UNEMPLOYED
COMPARISON WITH 1924. (Rec. p.m.) Rugby, June 24. In a speech at Rugby yesterday Lord Hailaham, the Lord Chancellor, said that although unemployment still presented a grave problem there were now 535,000 more people in work than four years ago, and the buying power of wages was £100,000,000 more annually than in 1924.—British Official Wirelesa.
