THE PICTURE, “KING OF KINGS.”

To the Editor. Sir, —I had the privilege yesterday afternoon, with a number of others, of attending a private screening of the “King of Kings.” The church has often, and rightly, been critical of the type of picture shown on the screen. But here is an occasion when I would be grateful for the opportunity of commending to the public a very great picture. It was daring indeed to attempt to make a moving picture of the life of Christ, but it has been done in a way so reverent that there is not one jarring note. And it is powerful preaching. I believe I am doing both public and Christian service when I urge everyone not to miss seeing it.—l am, etc., CECIL J. TOCKER. St. Paul’s Church, May 25, 1928.
