PERSONAL. (From Our Correspondent.) Mr T. J. Cameron, stationmaster, Mataura, is at present on annual leave, and Mr R. Stead, of Invercargill, is acting as relieving officer during his absence. REBEKAH LODGE. The fortnightly meeting of the Pearl of Mataura Rebekah Lodge was held in the lodge room on Tuesday, Sister Mitchell, N.G., presiding over a good attendance of members. After the usual routine business of the lodge had been disposed of members of the Pride of Mataura Druids Lodge were admitted and entertained at a card evening, and a thoroughly enjoyable time followed. At the conclusion of play the winners were announced as follows: Ladies’ first prize, Sister M. Hardy; gentlemen’s first prize, Brother W. McLeod. The consolation prizes were annexed by Sister Redman and Bro. N. McLeod respectively. A very dainty supper was provided by the Sisters of Pearl of Mataura Lodge after which dancing was fully enjoyed to music supplied by several of the Sisters.
