The following information has been received from the secretary of the Poat and Telegraph Department: Commencing on May 14 daily letter and week-end cable mewagea may be accepted for posting from London to destinations in the Continent of Europe to which no direct service of such classifications w available. Messages may be forwarded by ordinary post or by air mail the paid indicators “Post” and “Pav” respectively to appear at the beginning of the address and “London” at end of the address. A postage fee of 4d is to be chargefl for a message by air mail but no fee is payable for ordinary post services. Messages may also be accepted for posting from London by air mail. THURSDAY, MAY 17. Mails for Fiji, Tonga and Samoa close at C.P.O. on Thursday, May 17, at 6.15 а. for despatch from Auckland by S.S. Tofua. SATURDAY, MAY 19. Mails for Australia, South Africa, Egypt, Ceylon, India, China, Japan, Straits Settle ments, etc., close at C.P.O. on Saturday, May 19, at 6.15 a.m. for despatch by R.M.M.S. Aorangi from Auckland to Sydney. MONDAY, MAY 21. Mails for Great Britain, Ireland and Con tinent of Europe, Canada, United States oi America, Mexico, West Indies (via San Francisco) also Cook Islands and Tahiti, close at C.P.O. on Monday, May 21, at б. a.m. for despatch by R.M.S.
