Dressed ready to go to a ball, Valentinia Convici, a leading actress in the National Theatre, Bucharest, was found shot dead In her dressing-room. Her husband, a rich merchant, whose house was the rendezvous for artists and writers, was also shot, but may recover.—A. and N.Z.
