STOLEN MOTOR CAR

DETECTIVES MAKE ARREST. ARMED RESISTANCE SHOWN. (Rec. 7.55 pjn.) London, January 26. The police at Liverpool detained a man and a woman in connection with the alleged theft of a motor car in London on January 21. Twenty detectives surrounded the hotel where the suspects were staying. The man when confronted allegedly whipped out a fully loaded five-chambered revolver, but a detective struck the weapon out of his hand just as the trigger was pulled and the cartridge misfired.
