DAIRY FACTORIES
ANNUAL MEETING OF MANAGERS. SATISFACTORY FINANCIAL POSITION. (Per United Press Association.) Palmerston North, June 16. At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Dairy Factory Managers’ Association the annual report recorded a satisfactory financial position, a revival of interest in Auckland district, also an advance in the quality of butter and cheese. The following officers were elected:—G. Woods (Taranaki Provincial Executive) ; E. Petersen (Auckland) ; E. Hall (Manawatu), A. Inglis (Taranaki), W. Delahunty (Hawke’s Bay), R. Ross (Bush District), J. Middleton (South Island), J. Brash (Wairarapa); Secretary, A. F. Neilson. A remit from Taranaki urging monthly instead of fortnightly holidays was discussed. It was decided to request factories to ■view sympathetically the hardship in this connection inflicted on managers under the award.
