AUCKLAND’S TRAFFIC
MOTOR BUS SERVICES. AN INTERESTING JUDGMENT. (Per United Press Association.) Auckland, April 4. The Transport Appeal Board’s decision in the case between the Takapuna Tramways and Ferry Co., and Alfred Henry Smith, proprietor of the Yellow Bus Service cancels Smith’s license and in effect accepts the alternative proposal of the Tramway and Ferry Co. The Judge, Mr Justice Frazer, expressed the opinion that inter-borough traffic between Devonport and Takapuna should be catered for and authorised the issuing of a license for a motor bus service between Devonport Ferry and Belmont, which is on
the border of the two districts. The board regarded the existing tram service as inefficient and proposed that a supplementary bus service be established between Bayswater and Milford to be run in connection with the tram system. The Yellow Bus Co. is authorised to apply for a license for the new services. ,
