CHURCH OF CHRIST
ANNUAL BAZAAR. The annual bazaar of the Ladies’ Guild of the Church of Christ was held in the Sunday School Hall yesterday. It was opened at 2.30 p.m. by the Rev. B. G. Corlett. Despite the adverse weather conditions the hall was comfortably filled and a brisk trade was done by all the stallholders. During the evening a most enjoyable programme was given, the following items being contributed: Pianoforte solo, Miss M. Todd; song, Mrs Double; song, Miss Jackson; violin solo, Mr Lambert; solo, Mr L. Holmes; recitation, Miss Murdoch; song, Miss Ward; song, Mrs Penman; duet, Mr L. Holmes and Mr Ballantyne; musical monologue, Miss Murdoch; song, Mr BaJlantyne; violin solo, Miss Edie; song, Miss Langmuir. . The following ladies were in charge of the different stalls: —Work stall, Mesdames Perkins, Peterson, Blampeid and Miss R. Perkins; produce stall, Mesdames Woollett, Jackson and Mabe Ison; flower stall, Mrs T. Todd; sweet stall, Mrs Stevenson and Miss Perkins; Young Peoples’ stall, Mrs Taylor and Miss I. Wilkinson; Christmas tree, Miss J. Mabelson and Miss Hardy; tea rooms, Mesdames Hayward, Donaldson, Double (2), Misses Wickinson, M. Todd, C. Langmuir.
