RUGBY LEAGUE
NEW ZEALAND TEAM. DIFFERENCES IN MANAGEMENT. London, October 28. It is understood that the absence of five prominent New Zealand League Rugby playas from the last two matches is ascribed to differences with the management. The majority of these journeyed to Bradford to watch the Maoris’ match, while their own team was playing Leeds. No indication of the trouble is given to the English Press. There are hopes that a satisfactory solution is being arrived at, though such words as “Strike” and “Lockout” are being used in connection with the position.— A. and N.Z. SECOND TEST. . ENGLISH TEAM SELECTED. (Rec. 5.5 pjn.) London, October 28. The English' League team in the second test match against New Zealand on November 13 will be as follows:—Sullivan (Wigan) ; Rix (Oldham), Car (Barrow), Evans (Swinton); Ring (Wigan), Parkin (Wakefield Trinity) ; Fairclough (St. Helens) ; Bowman (Hull), Smith (Bradford), Burgess (Barrow), Fildes (St. Helens Recreation). Thomas (Leeds), Gallagher (Dewesbury).—A. and N.Z.
