ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES
FOUND SHOT. (Per United Press Association.) Taumarunui, October 27. The police here received word to-day that 1 the body of a young man named William Blair, aged nineteen, was found yesterday afternoon by the schoolmaster at Mokauiti. Deceased was the son of a farmer and has been missing from his home for nearly four weeks. A discharged gun was alongside the body. FOUND DEAD IN HUT. Westport, October 27. The inquest touching the death of Thomas Peacock, who was found dead in a hut yesterday was held by the Coroner, Mr. Gothard, to-day at Denniston, when a verdict of death from heart failure was returned. Deceased was a very old employee and a former deputy of the Westport Coal Company and was prominent in Masonic circles. He only recently returned from visiting relatives in Australia.
